Best thing Ive ever ridden and Im not done.....but I can slam though 7"inch rocks (Ive done it) and its very forgiving with jumps and drops. But in all I highly recommend this setup, you can't go wrong.

Van 36 fit....went for the best of the single crown world. I rode a bike with a Marz top single with the ti spring and thought it wasnt nearly as smooth as this beast. Its a unstoppable tank so far Ive slammed into rock gardens filled with 7" tall rocks and mobbed right though. The drivetrain is giving me a little grief skipping on the middle gears (fine on 1 and 9) but the bike shop will address that soon. But I recommend the chassis its so solid and smooth.

It in Annadel, its a realllllllly old side trail. Its not legal and its kinda boring since the jumps were flattened. Annadel is a AWESOME place though if you want to check it out I'll fill you in.

Already dinged the rear rim on a jump, too little psi. Also 2 flats on first ride, but we are getting used to each other. The chain is "skipping" a little on the rear cassette as well but only under hard push, figure thats the new front chainring and old chain "wearing" into one another. But those are gripes, its a rocketship down the hill, and the longer I ride her the better she'll get. i need more miles to get truly fast. LIke race level, once I lose about 20 lbs and really get to know her its on.

@ Downhill, The operator is their DH model. The entourage is a light duty FR machine with a penchant for jumping. I think they shouldn't of made it and kept the Stinky only in the bracket.

They should remake the thrust link, bring back the RM series but lighten it up and optimize the leverage ratio. The flatline although a nice bike is too complicated with links and bearings, more to wear out and make noise.

http://www.landpaths.org/ these guys are who you score the permit from. Im tring to get another permit for Willow Creek, out by the coast. also Im scouting info regarding Saddle Mountain open space preserve, it bridges the mayacama ridge between rincon valley in Santa Rosa and Napa valley, it massive but so far off limits but Landpaths is working on it. If it worked Id have over 12,000 local acres to ride on with Willow, Taylor, Annadel, and Hood. Add a jump park in and Id live in heaven......

Taylor Mountain is one hard out and back really steep, but worth it. But I saw alot of trails leading off into the brush. Also I saw on google earth there is a worn fireroad leading up to the top coming from the bennett valley side. I need my bike and more research. but an empty steep mountain, what do you think? the possibilities are worth it, steep stuff is what gets my adrenaline going. Also all of those innocent little cow trails might be hiding something, Ive seen picks of trails built in the bennett valley hidden among the trees.

Big boys should'nt use Shimano, ask me, Ive snapped two cranks and three bottom brackets. Get some Truvaviv or Gravity or some Atlas race face's there strong, albeit not as light, but when your 220 or larger then certain parts have to be strong. Handlebars, stems, cranks and ESPECIALLY bottom brackets.
